Festival season cranks up at the 5th Annual Front Page News L5P Mardi Gras Throwdown

 

Seven Bands LIVE All Day. Drink like you’re in the French Quarter featuring

Bacardi Hurricanes, Margaritas & Abita Beers.

 Feast on Traditional New Orleans Red Beans, Po’ Boys,

Ettoufee, Crawfish,and like the song says:

Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie & File Gumbo

with 7 Bands & Great Food"

 

  Gates open at 1:30pm for this all day Celebration of Mardi Gras and all things New Orleans, featuring 7 bands along with New Orleans food & beverages.  

 

Live Music all day:

Headlined by Atlanta super group The Constellations, playing tunes from their recently released album Southern Gothic.  Just like the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with its great mix of entertainment this festival will also feature New Orleans rock with The Squirrelheads, French Quarter Funk blues, rock music with the Mike Veal Band, R&B with Larry Griffith Band.  Shake your money maker with “Pit Stomp Mariachi” band Grinder Nova.  TheSeed & Feed Marching Abominable, "Atlanta's Wildest Community Band", will be at the festival throughout the day.

Food that will transport you to the Big Easy:

As always the fest features a sensational New Orleans menu: Jambalaya, Ettoufee, Muffalettas, Po’ Boys, Gumbo, Red Beans, Crawfish Pie and more, along with Bacardi Hurricanes drinks & Abita draft beers.  Everyone attending will get Mardi Gras beads and a chance to win other great giveaways!  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Tipitina's Foundation's Instruments A Comin’ Program and the Candler Park neighborhood organization. 

 

Outdoor festival season opener:

Outdoor festival season starts in the open air covered festival lot and sun soaked back lot at  Front Page News in Little Five Points is located at 351 Moreland Ave.  After 9:00 p.m. the party moves inside and the party continues till 2:00.  This is a rain or shine or snow event , the festival lot can be enclosed and heated in case of inclement weather. 

Tickets are $15 Advance & $20 at the Gate. 

 

Hurry!  A limited number of discounted only tickets will be available through February 20.
